Emerging From the hugely influential NWOBHM scene of the early 1980s, London based quartet Stampede worked hard to acquire a loyal and fervent following, which eventually resulted in the signing of a major label contract with Polydor Records in 1982.

Fronted by the songwriting partnership of vocalist Reuben Archer and stepson/guitarist Laurence, the band garneered widespread acclaim. Issued in 1983, this album propelled the Archers to the forefront of the hard rock battlefield, earning such welcome comparisons to great British rock institutions as Thin Lizzy, UFO, Saxon and Iron Maiden.
